What i Do
All About Me
30 year Silicon Valley Veteran. My practice has two sides to it: (1) General electronic product design and (2) energy related electronic design and policy. LEDs and Lasers, medical, power conversion, analog, general embedded systems and digital, disk drives and storage. Underwater cameras and UAVs. My Green side includes Solar, Electric Vehicles, and Building Efficiency (LEED V2.2 certified by US Green Building Council).
My services.
- I can provide varied services as I have done many things.
- Electronic circuit design. Orcad and Altium Schematic capture, support layout personnel using Pads, Altium, Allegro etc.
- Emergency design saves & troubleshooting (I do a lot of these!)
- Also can help ship a complete product, organize a repair outfit, find offshore manufacturing sources.
- Perform technical investor diligence, or raise funding.
- As mentioned, I have a strong Greentech/Cleantech side.
My Experience
Principal and Senior level electronic hardware experience at Silicon Valley majors such as Quantum, Nokia, Fossil, and ViewRay. Numerous product ships for contract design firms such as Integrated Controls Inc and Voler. Advisor to energy startups including Solyndra, BRD/Alta electric motorcycles, Lumigrow, and CalCars. Medical systems including laboratory, diagnostic, patient-contact surgical, and radiotherapy. Troubleshooting for a wide range of clients. Hold multiple U.S. Patents.
